Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology Management or relevant field of study
  • 7+ years professional experience
  • Experience working with diverse programs and portfolios in a large-scale capacity focusing on network infrastructure, including hardware refresh deployments and new build projects
  • Team management experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Background in service delivery at an enterprise level, comfortable with reporting projects to senior leadership
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that is accountable for planning, design, implementation of all infrastructures to support the work required of corporate projects.
  • Manage the relationship with application portfolio teams and business units to assure all needs are being met in a timely manner and are ultimately responsible for successfully delivering all engineering teamwork associated with a portfolio.
  • Manage systems dependencies and integration points.
  • Serve as a liaison to the business units for operational issues and forecasting for production systems and associated capacity planning.
  • Identify and lead functional teams to solve technical, operational, and organizational issues.
  • Review and be responsible for departmental budgets and resource allocations.
  • Develop departmental tactical plans to support technical and operational strategy.
  • Partner with various functional teams across the IT departments to support strategic enterprise vision and design.
  • Participate in problem management processes to determine root cause of failures and improve performance and reliability of systems and networks.
  • Ensure high quality, timely delivery of key infrastructure milestones to support corporate projects.
  • Improve delivery through automation, forecasting, and capacity planning.
  • Prepare, gain alignment on, and deliver automation plans to improve speed and accuracy of delivery of infrastructure.
  • Review and approve all plans for production deployment of corporate projects.
  • Lead a team that then delivers the production deployment.
  • Deliver a detailed technology training plan to staff which takes into account all engineering teams' specialties.
  • Be accountable for administrative management of Information Technology Engineering professionals in the Microsoft SharePoint and MS Project space.
  • Define, prioritize, allocate resources, track, and provide status reporting of work assignments, projects, programs.
  • Ensure IT engineering process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc.) and standards are effectively managed and performed.
  • Provide information and periodic updates to support departmental IT performance metrics, monthly project status reporting, and quarterly resource planning reviews.
  • Manage complex system integrations and interdependencies.
  • Oversee infrastructure engineering for corporate projects.
  • Review/approve production deployment plans.
  • Understand performance, capacity planning, and operational reliability.
  • Provide leadership by ensuring department and individual goals are met.
  • Manage talent utilizing HR supplied recognition tools and participate in workforce planning, staffing, and development.
  • Participate in assessing and recommending improvements to the organization structure, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Be responsible for individual performance assessments and improvement plans.
  • Be responsible for coaching, counseling, and assisting employees to develop individual career development and training plans.
