About The Position

This is a remote role open for multiple markets across the United States. Leads the Product & Experience pillar of the Platform Engineering Hub. Owns strategy, roadmap, adoption, governance, and lifecycle management of the enterprise Internal Developer Platform (IDP). Accountable for developer experience outcomes, service catalog governance, golden paths, self-service engineering capabilities, platform analytics, GitOps enablement, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption, and AI-enabled engineering experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12 years' experience in Applications development, analysis or engineering.
  • 5+ years leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud or Infrastructure teams
  • IDP strategy and adoption leadership
  • Budget and roadmap ownership
  • Knowledge of Standard Development Life Cycles (like Waterfall or Agile)
  • Knowledge of system and data design
  • Previous leadership for technical implementation
  • IDP, Platform Engineering, DevEx, Service Catalogs, Golden Paths, GitOps, IaC, CI/CD, Platform Automation

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Partner with senior management to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Identify future needs and trends.
  • Provide direction and oversight to IT projects and products.
  • Assign project tasks, drive project schedules, product releases, and convey results or updates to the appropriate parties.
  • Establish and monitor expectations to achieve company and department goals.
  • Make appropriate changes to IT policies, standards, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives.
  • Manage the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Maximize department achievements by providing professional development.
  • Ensure bank needs are met through prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a technical expert and strategic leader to senior management, associates, and business units.
  • Ensure that team activities comply with all appropriate configuration, change controls, and security standards.
  • Participate in business meetings and special projects to provide insight on end-user needs.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends.
  • Identify and hold accountable vendors in support of system updates and maintenance.
