About The Position

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Manager to drive the cultural conversation for iconic brands like M&M'S®, SNICKERS®, and TWIX®. This role is for a storyteller with a passion for pop culture and expertise in navigating the media landscape, aiming to create viral brand moments. The position involves developing and executing innovative earned media campaigns, building media relationships, providing strategic counsel to clients, contributing to creative brainstorms, and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of public relations experience.
  • Deep passion for pop culture, sports, and consumer brands.
  • Strong, existing relationships with media and influencers.
  • Fluency in traditional media, podcasts, and Substack.
  • Mastery in crafting compelling story angles and developing integrated media plans.
  • Ability to optimize campaigns in real-time.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage complex projects.
  • Effective collaboration skills with a diverse range of partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Infectious enthusiasm for the work and a relentless drive to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative earned media campaigns that place brands at the center of culture.
  • Draft pitches and build relationships with journalists, podcasters, and bloggers to secure high-impact coverage.
  • Serve as a key day-to-day contact for clients, providing strategic counsel and managing event logistics.
  • Contribute fresh ideas in creative brainstorms and help develop realistic KPIs.
  • Guide and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
