About The Position

Centroid helps organizations modernize, operate, and support mission-critical business systems across Oracle and multi-cloud environments through advisory, deployment, migration, integration, and managed services. The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Solutions leads technical and presales resources while contributing directly to solution design, sales-cycle execution, and delivery leadership. The position balances team leadership with hands-on technical and presales work across multiple infrastructure and operating-system domains, with a primary focus on Oracle Engineered Systems.

The role leads resource planning, mentoring, solution architecture, customer discovery and sizing, presales and commercial support, technical escalation management, and architecture governance. It acts as a technical architect on client engagements, reviews and approves customer deliverables, develops end-to-end architectures, and serves as a senior escalation point. Core technologies include on-premises compute, storage, and networking; Oracle Exadata, ZFS Storage Appliance, and Oracle Database Appliance; Oracle VM, Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager, KVM, and VMware; and Linux, Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX platforms.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading technical or presales resources in enterprise infrastructure, managed services, systems integration, or consulting environments.
• Hands-on solution architecture experience across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and operating systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle Engineered Systems and related infrastructure technologies.
• Proven ability to create and quality-review SOWs, staffing plans, technical proposals, executive presentations, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Experience performing technical discovery, solution sizing, architecture validation, and customer presentations.
• Experience managing technical escalations and coordinating with vendors or OEM support organizations.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while continuing to contribute directly to technical and presales deliverables.
• Experience with Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance, ZFS Storage Appliance, Oracle Linux, and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with VMware, KVM, SPARC/Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and multi-platform migration or modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of Oracle licensing concepts, entitlement reviews, compliance assessments, and bill-of-material creation.
• Experience working with Oracle, IBM, HPE, and other enterprise technology vendors.
• Background in consulting, presales engineering, solution architecture, or customer-facing technical leadership.
• Relevant vendor, architecture, operating system, virtualization, or project leadership certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical and presales resources across the defined technology portfolio.
• Assign and balance workload across sales opportunities, customer commitments, and available staff.
• Mentor the technical consulting team as needed.
• Own resourcing conflicts, prioritization decisions, and leadership escalations.
• Report team capacity, performance, and pipeline-support metrics to leadership.
• Provide hands-on coverage for team responsibilities during absences or staffing gaps.
• Design end-to-end solutions spanning infrastructure, engineered systems, virtualization, and operating-system platforms.
• Act as Technical Architect on client engagements and ensure the team's project deliverables meet technical standards.
• Validate solution feasibility, sizing, integration, supportability, and alignment across heterogeneous environments.
• Maintain technical standards and reference architectures used in customer proposals.
• Provide architecture governance and final technical sign-off for complex or high-risk designs.
• Lead technical discovery, requirements clarification, sizing, and solution positioning during the sales cycle.
• Create and review Statements of Work, staffing plans, effort estimates, timelines, and responsibility models.
• Create customer-facing and executive presentations communicating solution value, architecture, scope, assumptions, and risk.
• Create Oracle carts and bills of materials using the Oracle Partner Store or successor tooling.
• Perform Oracle license assessments, including entitlement review, compliance considerations, and sizing for new or renewal licensing.
• Participate in technical response development and quality review for RFPs and RFIs.
• Serve as a senior escalation point across the covered technology domains.
• Coordinate internal specialists, delivery leaders, and vendor support contacts to resolve issues.
• Conduct root-cause and lessons-learned reviews for major escalations and incorporate improvements into standards and delivery practices.
