About The Position

Join our Infosec Security Incident Response Leadership Team and the Akamai Security Intelligence Response Team (SIRT)! As a Senior Manager, Threat Intelligence & Research, you will lead a team of security researchers and intelligence analysts, serving as a strategic authority on cyber threat intelligence, adversary tradecraft, and emerging global threats. You will operate at the intersection of real-world adversary activity, global Internet telemetry, and critical customer incidents, providing strategic insight that informs product development, security operations, and Akamai's role as a trusted authority in cybersecurity. This role is responsible for leading high-impact threat intelligence initiatives, advanced investigations, and strategic incident response efforts across Akamai's global security platform.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
5-7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with experience focused on threat research and in a leadership role
A deep understanding of Cyber Threat Intelligence including threat actor analysis, OSINT collection and analysis, Intelligence lifecycle management etc
Technical background in network protocols and internet-scale architectures, web applications & API security, DDOS mitigation, bot management and access control

Responsibilities

Leading and mentoring a team of threat intelligence analysts and security researchers
Defining research priorities and intelligence strategy aligned with Akamai's security mission
Driving cross-functional collaboration across security operations, product engineering, and executive leadership
Translating complex threat intelligence into actionable insights for customers, product teams, and leadership
