As a senior manager on the Indirect Tax team, you’ll play a key role in supporting new products & initiatives, evolving business models, and enterprise-wide initiatives. You’ll serve as a strategic advisor to teams across the business, helping ensure indirect tax is considered early and thoughtfully. This role is about shaping decisions, translating complex tax issues into clear, practical guidance, and owning the work from strategy through execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in indirect tax strategy, advisory, research, and planning
  • Experience in a corporate tax department, public accounting firm, or law firm
  • Strong experience advising the business on complex business initiatives, product launches, or strategic planning projects
  • Ability to interpret new tax legislation and determine business impacts
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate tax concepts for non-tax audiences
  • A high level of ownership and a track record of delivering results

Responsibilities

  • Lead indirect tax strategy for new products and initiatives partnering with Tax Operations, Product, Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Technology teams to embed tax into business decisions, advise on risks and opportunities, and help shape outcomes early in the process.
  • Act as the lead indirect tax researcher – Analyze complex indirect tax issues, develop well-supported positions, and provide clear research-based guidance to inform business decisions.
  • Provide strategic guidance on changing tax laws and policy – Stay on top of new and evolving legislation, assess the impact to the business, and translate those changes into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive work end-to-end with strong ownership – Take projects from early scoping through execution, ensuring follow-through, clear documentation, and sustainable processes that support tax positions in close collaboration with the Tax Operations team.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts clearly – Translate complicated indirect tax issues into practical insights and recommendations that help non-tax partners make informed business decisions.
