The Senior Manager will operate at the intersection of HDTx capabilities and Federal delivery, supporting complex, large-scale programs such as EHR modernization (e.g., VA EHRM) as well as other federal healthcare or digital transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for driving integrated delivery across clinical, technical, and operational workstreams, while navigating federal client environments, compliance requirements, and multi-partner ecosystems (e.g., AFS, OEM vendors). The Senior Manager will serve as a key leader in project execution, resource alignment, and client engagement, ensuring delivery excellence across evolving, high-visibility programs.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in consulting, healthcare technology, or federal program delivery
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal clients or programs (VA, DoD, HHS, or similar)
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder technology or EHR-related initiatives
  • Strong understanding of: Healthcare IT systems (EHR platforms, interoperability, clinical workflows)
  • Strong understanding of: Project/program management methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VA EHRM, Oracle Health (Cerner), Epic, or large-scale EHR programs
  • Familiarity with federal contracting structures (e.g., IDIQ, subcontracting models)
  • Experience working in matrixed delivery models across multiple organizations
  • Exposure to emerging healthcare technologies (AI, analytics, automation, interoperability frameworks)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of federal healthcare IT and digital transformation initiatives, including EHR implementations, optimization, and adjacent technology programs
  • Manage cross-functional teams spanning clinical, technical, and operational disciplines
  • Oversee project execution including scope, schedule, financials, risks, and dependencies
  • Drive structured delivery approaches across agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies depending on program needs
  • Partner closely with federal clients and prime contractors to align priorities, deliverables, and timelines
  • Navigate complex government environments, including multi-layered stakeholder and governance structures
  • Support development of executive-level communications, status reporting, and briefings
  • Bring together HDTx capabilities across: EHR (Oracle Health / Epic / MEDITECH), Digital transformation & automation, Data, analytics, and interoperability
  • Identify opportunities to align emerging technologies or new initiatives with EHR and enterprise transformation efforts (e.g., AI, APIs, automation)
  • Support resource planning and staffing strategies across traditional and variable workforce models (e.g., salaried, fixed-term/project-based)
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, onboarding, and federal program requirements (e.g., clearance, timekeeping, subcontractor alignment)
  • Contribute to building scalable, repeatable delivery and workforce models
  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and solution shaping for federal opportunities
  • Contribute to expanding Huron’s footprint across federal healthcare and digital transformation programs
  • Identify and drive follow-on opportunities within active engagements
