About The Position

ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Manager, Global Procurement supports the Sr. Director, Global Corporate Procurement in driving strategic category management and supplier optimization initiatives across global operations. This role leads high-impact sourcing activities, including RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, while managing procurement efforts across the full lifecycle. Operating in a global scope with approximately 10% travel, the position focuses on delivering cost efficiencies, enhancing supplier performance, and aligning procurement strategies with broader business objectives. The role also requires strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or related consulting/advisory roles
  • Experience in supplier development, performance management, and risk mitigation
  • Strong background in both direct and indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams or projects
  • Project management experience; PMP certification is an asset
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in dynamic environments
  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and negotiation capabilities
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and execute cost optimization opportunities across categories
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard high-performing global suppliers
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Analyze market trends and conduct external research to inform procurement strategies
  • Develop deep expertise in supply markets, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies
  • Design and implement commodity and supply chain strategies aligned with business goals
  • Partner with Engineering and R&D to support innovation and new technology requirements
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to maximize value and mitigate risk
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term performance
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Procurement Specialists and cross-functional teams
