About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Business Strategy & Planning supporting the Vision Care Franchise Leadership Team, you will be trusted to drive analytics-led strategy, portfolio planning, and data-driven decision-making, partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategic initiatives, commercial priorities, and growth objectives onsite in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor, leveraging advanced Excel-based modeling, financial forecasting, market analysis, and business case development, combined with executive-level storytelling and data visualization, to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will take end-to-end ownership of high-impact workstreams, applying structured problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills to elevate the quality, clarity, and speed of decision-making, including delivering leadership-ready insights, go-to-market strategies, competitive intelligence, and Board-level materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs. Assoc.+11 yrs.; M.S.+4 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering analytics-driven decision support, with a strong focus on financial modeling, forecasting, and business case analysis.
  • Proven ability to support strategic decision-making and drive outcomes within cross-functional environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills with proven ability to build robust models (forecasting, scenarios, sensitivities, valuation logic as needed)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and executive communication capability, including the ability to synthesize into clear, decision-oriented storylines.
  • Structured problem-solving, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to form a clear point of view supported by evidence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority; sound judgment and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, Corporate M&A, Business Development, Investment Banking, or corporate strategy/business planning/commercial finance.
  • Experience in MedTech, Digital Health, Consumer Health, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, or related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to co-develop strategic documents and narratives for Executive Leadership Team and Board-level audiences; create leadership-ready PowerPoint materials, one-pagers, and decision briefs that translate complex inputs into clear choices, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models to support strategic planning and decision-making, including forecasting, scenario design, sensitivity analysis, and key driver analyses.
  • Develop decision-ready analyses that are transparent and defensible, with clear linkage from assumptions to outputs and implications.
  • Pressure-test plans and proposals by identifying the key assumptions that matter most (through sensitivity checks), quantifying uncertainty and risks, and clarifying any changes or further pressure-testing needed for recommendations.
  • Synthesize business, market, category, and competitive trends into strategic insights and implications; integrate external signals with internal performance to inform planning and prioritization.
  • Support portfolio prioritization and opportunity assessment using structured frameworks (for example, market attractiveness and right-to-win thinking) and translate results into clear actions.
  • Demonstrate leadership in navigating cross-functional projects and owning outcomes while collaborating across R&D, Manufacturing, Franchise, and Commercial teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally to gather, validate, and align inputs and assumptions; drive clarity on definitions, sources, owners, and signoffs where needed.
  • Own quality control and “single source of truth” discipline across models and materials (version control, consistency between numbers and narrative, error checks, and stakeholder readability)
  • Drive continuous improvement in strategy and planning ways of working, including reusable templates, standards, operating cadence, and process simplification to reduce rework and increase throughput.
  • Evaluate and deploy leading AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of workflows and deliverables, including enabling data foundations (for example, data lake–style assets), building fit-for-purpose tools, and partnering to pilot custom AI agents where valuable.
