The Senior Manager will lead a team of Engineers in a complex avionics department, responsible for design, test, and certification. Key responsibilities include program performance for cognizant projects, tactical execution of day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with development processes and standard work requirements. The role also involves assigning technical resources, selecting, onboarding, and training new team members, and providing technical coaching. The manager will approve work scope for their assigned portion of the overall program, serve as the primary engineering focal point to customers, and actively address employee performance and development issues. Additionally, they will identify necessary staff, facilities, and equipment for successful project execution. This position will supervise 16 reports, including various levels of Software and Systems Engineers, as well as Co-Op Software Engineers.
