LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization is dedicated to creating an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners, and the community. The 2028 Games will mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. after 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games, and its first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This role is crucial in writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles. The Senior Manager, Games Family Ceremony Operations, reporting to the Director, Games Family Services Operations, is responsible for ensuring the provision of Games Family services at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of both the Olympics and Paralympics. This includes assisting in the development and application of all Games Family plans, policies, procedures, and operations for these ceremonies. The role also involves helping to select and train Games Family staff and volunteers working at these venues, and mentoring, supporting, and supervising these team members before and during the Games. The Senior Manager will be the primary contact for Ceremonies-related Games Family Services and will participate in the Ceremonies working group, collaborating with various divisions, functional areas, contractors, IOC/IPC, and dignitary delegations.
