We are developing the next wave of therapeutic advancements with a robust and diverse pipeline that includes mid- to late-stage programs in Alzheimer’s disease psychosis and Lewy body dementia psychosis, along with earlier-stage programs that address other underserved patient needs. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office an average of 3 days per week. Position Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, the Senior Manager, FP&A will serve as the primary finance business partner for the corporate finance and G&A organization and play a key role in supporting Acadia’s growth. This position is responsible for delivering financial reporting and analysis, effectively communicating performance insights, leading recurring planning processes, maintaining and enhancing financial planning systems, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support informed business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or other related field, MBA preferred.
  • Targeting 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in a financial planning and analysis role or other finance area, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with the ability to work independently and solve complex business problems.
  • Proven financial analysis skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering accurate, reliable, and detail-oriented work.
  • Experience designing, improving, and streamlining financial systems, processes, and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, SmartView, or similar planning and reporting tools, including hierarchy management and system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, collaborate cross-functionally, and influence business partners.
  • Adaptable and effective in a dynamic, high-growth environment, with a positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance FP&A systems, including managing hierarchies and ensuring alignment between NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.
  • Support forecasting and planning cycles by coordinating expense forecasts and preparing reports that incorporate purchase order and accrual data for rolling forecasts and annual operating plans.
  • Develop and deliver P&L reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights for business partners and Finance leadership, driving continuous improvement in forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to Corporate G&A functions, providing strategic analysis and decision support.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure GAAP compliance, adherence to company policies, and the accuracy and reasonableness of accruals.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
