About The Position

The Senior Manager, FP&A – Provider Compensation will lead the financial oversight, administration, and strategic development of provider compensation programs across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring compensation plans are accurate, scalable, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives and provider incentives. This highly visible position will drive process improvement, compensation analytics, financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting while serving as a key business partner to Operations, Legal, Accounting, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Clinical Leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong healthcare finance expertise and the ability to translate complex compensation and financial concepts into actionable business insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, accounting, or compensation management experience.
  • Strong experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing complex datasets and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare industry experience, particularly with provider or physician compensation programs.
  • Experience with multi-specialty or profit-based provider compensation models.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements related to provider compensation.
  • Experience working with compensation management, ERP, and financial planning systems.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end provider compensation process, including base compensation, productivity incentives, bonus structures, and other compensation programs.
  • Partner across the organization to ensure accurate and timely compensation calculations and payroll processing.
  • Maintain and enhance provider compensation methodologies, processes, and controls.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's provider compensation database and system of record.
  • Prepare and present provider compensation reports and financial analyses to providers and leadership.
  • Develop forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning models related to provider compensation.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to deliver compensation analyses and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Monitor compensation trends, productivity metrics, and financial performance indicators to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable federal and state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with Legal to review employment agreements and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor contract expirations, renewals, and compensation-related provisions while providing proactive recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leadership, Operations, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition to develop compensation strategies that support growth and provider engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend compensation structures that align provider incentives with organizational performance.
  • Lead compensation-related process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and transparency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on provider compensation strategy and financial impacts.
