Senior Manager, Financial Analytics

Granges Americas•Franklin, TN

About The Position

The Senior Manager, Financial Analytics is a hands-on finance leader responsible for manufacturing finance, reporting, analytics, process improvement and ERP business leadership. The role partners with plant accounting and operations to understand how transactions are generated, identify process breakdowns, and develop simpler, more reliable ways of working. Gränges Americas produces rolled aluminum for HVAC and heat exchangers, packaging, and automotive markets. Accurate metal accounting, scrap recovery, melt loss, inventory and costing are central to understanding plant performance and profitability. The current environment includes AX 2009, RollCIM, ZAP reporting tools and extensive Excel-based reporting. The role will help shift Finance toward early issue detection, recurring controls, and analysis that identifies actions and owners. It leads work across manufacturing accounting, dashboard and KPI modernization, decision-support analytics, practical automation and AI use, and ERP selection and implementation. The position also provides flexible finance support for accounting close, planning, forecasts, cash flow analysis and operational decisions, as prioritized with the Director of Finance. The role is expected to improve metal accounting and FIFO processes, reduce manual reporting and month-end reconstruction, increase trust and use of reconciled dashboards, accelerate identification and resolution of material issues, document the benefits of actions taken, and deliver ERP requirements and implementation work on schedule.

  • Build recurring metal balance and exception reviews with clear owners and follow-up actions, and extend proven approaches from SRM to HRM and NRM.
  • Modernize the monthly KPI package by reviewing sources, definitions, calculations and workflow and replacing manual steps with repeatable data preparation and validation.
  • Design executive and plant dashboards showing actual results against budget, prior periods and targets, with drill-down by site, product and other business dimensions.

  • Use automation and approved AI tools to reduce repetitive work in recurring reporting, exception identification, documentation and first drafts of variance commentary.
  • Pilot AI-assisted narratives based on validated KPI data, requiring finance-owner review before distribution and maintaining reconciled calculations and human review for automated outputs.
  • Lead the business side of ERP selection and implementation, working with functional leaders, IT and the implementation partner.
  • Work with Finance, Procurement, Quality, Planning & Scheduling, Customer Service, and Technology & Integration to document current workflows, issues, controls and future requirements.
  • Define manufacturing finance ERP requirements for metal and scrap movements, casting entries, inventory traceability, FIFO valuation and layers, standard costing, yield and melt-loss analysis, plant close and general-ledger reconciliation.
  • Build the ERP evaluation scorecard and business scenarios for vendor demonstrations; assess fit, gaps, and configuration, integration or customization needs.
  • Support ERP process design, data mapping and conversion, end-to-end and user acceptance testing, training, cutover and post-go-live issue resolution.
  • Provide flexible finance capacity during peak periods or shifting priorities, as prioritized with the Director of Finance.
  • Support accounting and close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, inventory and cost accounting, variance investigation and audit requests.
  • Support budgets, forecasts, scenario modeling, cash flow analysis and financial evaluation of operational decisions.
