Requirements

  • A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years' finance or accounting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization
  • Proven People Management and Coaching skills
  • Strong eye for business, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Results Oriented and Critical Thinking skills
  • Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel (pivot table, v-look up and creating formulas)
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset
  • Professional Finance Designations such as CPA-CMA; or MBA preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP and MicroStrategy will be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Drive collaborative cultural change and awareness by building working relationships based on trust, and improving collaboration within portfolios
  • Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives
  • Review results and inspire change to fix underlying issues
  • Manage business expectations, and setting priorities as appropriate
  • Analyze, identify, and recommend operational improvement initiatives and systems modifications to increase productivity and efficiency within the department
  • Mentor and coach team members in achieving their goals and IDPs, provide feedback and address any performance issues
  • Support Senior Management with the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key critical initiatives as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required
  • Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging
