About The Position

The Senior Manager, Growth FP&A and Strategy, plays a critical role in leading the US Growth AOP and LRP processes and translating Enterprise Growth priorities into financial plans and strategic insights. This position coordinates cross-functionally across business-facing finance teams, Segment FP&A, and other stakeholders to drive alignment, consolidate and validate plans, manage key dependencies and risks, and ensure accurate financial system integration. The role will also support scenario planning and strategic analysis, drive continuous improvement through simplification, standardization, and automation, and provide clear financial insights and decision support to senior leadership. The Growth FP&A and Strategy team serves as the financial integrator and strategic partner for Enterprise Growth Org, providing a unified view of performance across U.S., Sam’s Club, and International. The team coordinates forecasting, planning, and reporting while connecting strategy to financial outcomes through portfolio insights and scenario analysis. In close partnership with Growth Strategy & Operations, the team brings financial discipline and insights to portfolio decisions, enabling leadership to assess performance, align resources, identify risks and opportunities, and make informed enterprise decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
  • 1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, including AOP, LRP, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Exceptional adaptability and learning agility, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, evolving priorities, organizational change, and shifting business needs.
  • Strong project and process management skills with disciplined execution.
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong financial systems knowledge, attention to detail, and control mindset.
  • Excellent communication and synthesis skills for senior leadership.
  • Leadership experience developing resilient, collaborative, and high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end US Growth AOP and LRP processes, including timelines, communications, consolidation, validation, and financial system integration.
  • Partner across business-facing finance teams, Segment FP&A, and other stakeholders to align assumptions, dependencies, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Support strategic financial analysis, scenario planning, and selected strategic initiatives to inform Growth priorities and long-term implications.
  • Manage control structures to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop associates by setting expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Present financial results and forecasts to senior management, addressing inquiries and supporting decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
