Senior Manager (Events & Lead Generation)

1-800 Hansons LLCTroy, MI
Hybrid

About The Position

HANSONS has been a top home improvement company for over 35 years and is seeking to grow by building an owned, scalable lead generation engine powered by events, retail activations, and canvassing. This is a ground-floor opportunity to design the system, build the teams, and own the results across multiple markets nationwide. As Senior Manager (Events & Lead Generation), you will be responsible for creating a repeatable, scalable field lead generation channel that delivers qualified demo appointments directly to sales teams. You will partner with General Managers to hire and develop market-level Program Coordinators, build the playbook, and drive performance across every market. The ultimate outcome is a fully owned channel that consistently produces high-quality leads, reduces reliance on third-party marketing, and becomes a core growth driver for Hansons nationally.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to build scalable systems and programs, not just manage existing ones.
  • Experience leading field teams, canvassing operations, or multi-market event programs.
  • Strong operator with high standards, accountability, and a bias toward execution.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Talent for recruiting, training, and building high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable operating at all levels - working alongside GMs, sales leaders, and executives.
  • Experience in canvassing, field marketing, direct sales leadership, or home improvement is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Hansons Events & Canvassing Playbook from the ground up, including scripts, SOPs, frameworks, and appointment-setting systems.
  • Define success metrics (HPD, set rate, cost per lead, demo volume) and build reporting to track them.
  • Partner with GMs to hire and develop Program Coordinators at the market level.
  • Launch 3–5 pilot markets in Year 1 with fully functioning, performance-driven teams.
  • Maintain consistency across markets while optimizing locally.
  • Build scalable recruiting systems for part-time event staff and canvassers.
  • Train, certify, and coach Program Coordinators, holding them accountable to outcomes.
  • Create onboarding and development pathways that scale as the company grows.
  • Own KPIs across the channel: leads generated, demos set, cost per lead, and cost of marketing.
  • Run weekly accountability rhythms with GMs and Coordinators.
  • Continuously optimize based on data and field performance.
  • Develop event and territory strategies that align with ideal customer profiles.
  • Build infrastructure and systems to support national expansion.
  • Manage market-level budgets and reallocate resources toward highest-performing channels.

Benefits

  • Health benefits at 30 days (medical, dental, vision, life, and more)
  • 401k with company match at 90 days
  • Paid time off with unlimited rollover
  • Holiday pay eligible immediately
  • Presidents Club trips and incentive opportunities
