Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B event marketing experience, including ownership of large-scale conferences, tradeshows, and owned flagship events
  • Proven track record owning complex event portfolios tied to measurable pipeline outcomes (e.g., large-scale conferences, multi-city programs, or high-budget event strategies)
  • Strong program management skills are a must: planning rigor, budget ownership, vendor negotiation, and calm execution under pressure.
  • Passion to use AI tools to accelerate audience targeting, personalization, content production, and follow-up workflows, without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Marketo), event/webinar platforms, and basic reporting/BI.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management; able to influence without authority and bring clarity when priorities collide.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Event Strategy and Portfolio: Build Ontic’s event strategy and calendar across trade shows, hosted experiences, executive dinners, Ontic Summit and other physical experiences.
  • Set clear success metrics per event type (pipeline, meetings, target account coverage, engagement, client outcomes) and manage against them.
  • Evaluate and prioritize event investments based on audience fit, funnel stage impact, and measurable ROI.
  • Define standardized event formats and a scalable “event-in-a-box” approach for repeatable execution.
  • Partner across Marketing to ensure physical experiences are integrated with the overall demand generation, client marketing and community strategy.
  • Plan and Execute High-Impact Events: Design high-quality, differentiated experiences that reflect Ontic’s brand and resonate with enterprise security leaders.
  • Lead end-to-end execution for priority events—from venue selection and run of show to staffing, on-site delivery, and post-event wrap.
  • Own budgets, scope, and vendor execution, negotiating contracts and managing partners without sacrificing quality.
  • Build repeatable operating cadences (timelines, checklists, QA gates) so internal teams and external partners execute with confidence.
  • Partner with Field Marketing to ensure post-event outcomes: sales engagement playbooks (meetings, VIP flow, follow-up) plus retros that turn learnings into better conversion.
  • Own Ontic Summit: Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Ontic Summit, evolving it into a category-defining, must-attend experience for the security community.
  • Drive programming development, including agenda architecture, session themes, speaker pipeline, rehearsals, and stage-ready content.
  • Manage production partners (A/V, stage, experience design, registration, logistics) and ensure a seamless attendee experience.
  • Partner across Marketing and cross-functionally on narrative, keynotes, and session content to deliver a cohesive attendee experience.
  • Coordinate with Demand Gen and Digital on pre-event and post-event campaigns to maximize pipeline, and follow-through with Sales and Client Success.
  • Drive Measurement, AI-Enabled Execution, and Cross-Functional Alignment: Use AI thoughtfully to streamline end-to-end event planning and execution (briefing, vendor coordination, run-of-show, staffing, and QA) while improving targeting and personalization without compromising data quality or brand accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing to enable account-level activation and engagement at events.
  • Define event-level goals and ensure alignment to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen, Brand/Content, Product Marketing, and Digital to ensure events are integrated into larger campaigns.
