Senior Manager, Embedded Imaging Software

NVIDIA•Santa Clara, CA
•$272,000 - $488,750

About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Manager to lead the embedded imaging software transformation for its Jetson platform. As robotics shifts from hand-engineered algorithms to learned AI policies, imaging is central to the intelligence loop. The role will define and deliver the imaging software roadmap for a camera stack that provides synchronized, low-latency, model-ready data from sensor to tensor. The manager will coordinate engineers and managers working on camera drivers, image-processing algorithms, streaming frameworks, and developer tools. The team’s work will help customers move from prototype to production and support perception in humanoids and autonomous machines. The role also supports a transition to agentic development workflows and works across imaging research, tuning, Jetson product, hardware, QA, and partner teams.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant software engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading software teams; a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing embedded Linux software for systems-on-chip using modern agentic workflows, including device drivers, platform bring-up, and debugging on target hardware.
  • Technical depth in C, C++, or Rust systems software, with the ability to guide architecture, performance optimization, and system-level debugging.
  • Proven ability to translate market requirements into software roadmaps and align interdisciplinary, matrixed teams to deliver results.
  • Hands-on development experience with modern agentic tools, skills, and workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of embedded camera technologies such as MIPI CSI, GMSL, Camera over Ethernet, V4L2, ISP control, or image quality tuning.
  • Experience taking edge AI systems from concept to production, especially in robotics.
  • Experience building agentic skills or AI-assisted workflows that improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
  • Familiarity with functional-safety development practices such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.
  • Understanding of input requirements and image quality dependencies for VLMs, VLAs, and other perception models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of emerging sensing and imaging technologies into the Jetson BSP across drivers, algorithms, frameworks, agents, and skills.
  • Support the team’s transition to an agentic development workflow to improve execution velocity, transparency, software quality, and system performance.
  • Translate customer and ecosystem requirements into prioritized capabilities and measurable product outcomes.
  • Align engineering work across software and partner teams in imaging research, tuning, Jetson product, hardware, and QA to deliver features on a predictable release schedule.
  • Develop and mentor engineering managers and senior technical leaders, and create growth opportunities for the broader team.

Benefits

  • Competitive salaries and a generous benefits package.
  • Equity.
