About The Position

This role oversees and evolves transformation activities for the establishment of new products, services, processes, digitalization, and other strategic change initiatives to improve overall plant efficiency. It also involves business development and continuity, including obsolescence management, tooling & process management, and contingency management. The position drives maintenance and reliability initiatives under a Zero breakdown strategy, focusing on TPM, Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, and maintaining plant infrastructure and manufacturing assets for improved productivity & OEE. It requires establishing active collaboration in regional and international networks for knowledge sharing, problem-solving, risk mitigation, and innovation, while fostering cross-functional expertise. The role ensures industrial harmony in line with legal requirements and promotes the use of renewable resources and sustainable technologies. Additionally, it involves overseeing the department revenue budget, fostering positive people experiences, developing a talent pipeline through competence management, employee engagement, and well-being, and foreseeing competency requirements (technical, digital, behavioral) based on present and future trends. The role also promotes a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and digital transformation, facilitating alignment of future strategies with the plant's vision and mission, and driving technology competencies. Finally, it oversees project implementation (including CSR) and collaborates with stakeholders for ESG topics, plans, oversees, and promotes the implementation of new and emerging technologies like robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, and 3D printing to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • B.Tech./B.E. (Industrial Engineering/Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical/Electronics)
  • 15 - 18 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience of leading the Technical/ Maintenance /Process development //Tool manufacturing & management /Project Management functions for mid/large sized plant/ unionized plant
  • Competent in technical knowledge of products, process and equipments
  • Competent in TPM knowledge and Reliability Engineering and tool room management
  • Competent in project planning and cost control, customer management for new releases
  • Competent in Industrial Engineering, Productivity, Facilities Management and Digitalization concepts
  • Proficient Strategic Thinking and Networking
  • Proficient leadership, negotiation skills
  • Competent Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving and Agile methodologies
  • Proficient with stakeholder management skills (Internal & External divergent views e.g. legal compliance, Court matters, State Elec Boards, Pollution Boards, IOF, etc.)
  • Competent in Interpersonal & Communication skills and Conflict management.

Responsibilities
