About The Position

The Senior Manager, US Contracts & Pricing: Government Price and Reporting leads functional and technical support for Takeda’s US Government Pricing business processes, systems, and data platforms. The role partners with business stakeholders to maintain reliable, scalable, and compliant Government Pricing capabilities, while driving enhancements and continuous improvement. It combines expertise in pharmaceutical Government Pricing and Contracts & Pricing operations with technical knowledge of Model N Flex and/or Riparian Helix, analytical skills, and leadership. The role also supports technology-enabled innovation, including potential AI-driven solutions. The position partners with US Contracts & Pricing, Government Pricing, Market Access, Finance, and technical stakeholders to gather and translate requirements, evaluate solutions, and support strategic initiatives, enhancements, integrations, acquisitions, and transformation programs. It provides domain leadership across pharmaceutical contracting and pricing processes and their associated customer, product, contract, membership, price-list, and transaction data. The role provides Government Pricing regulatory expertise, assesses the business and system impact of regulatory changes, and leads production support and incident management. Responsibilities include issue triage and root cause analysis, coordination of resolution, regression testing, deployment, and prevention of recurring problems. It also serves as functional and technical lead for the Model N Flex and Riparian Helix platforms, supporting configuration, integrations, testing, release management, and connections to enterprise applications. The position uses SQL and data analysis to investigate issues and supports data governance, data quality, reconciliation, audits, reporting, and performance metrics. It applies SDLC practices across requirements, design, testing, defect management, releases, deployment readiness, and SOX audit responses, using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches as appropriate. It also identifies and evaluates opportunities to use AI, machine learning, automation, and data intelligence to improve operations, reporting, knowledge management, and user experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience supporting pharmaceutical US Government Pricing and Contracts & Pricing functions.
Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical Government Pricing methodologies and calculations, including AMP, Best Price, NFAMP, FCP, ASP, URA, and related regulatory programs.
Strong hands-on experience supporting complex platforms and enhancing associated business processes.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical Contracts & Pricing processes and related master and transactional data domains.
Experience analyzing, triaging, and resolving production support issues in complex enterprise environments.
Experience coordinating regression testing, validation, release management, and production deployments.
Strong understanding of SDLC best practices and methodologies.
Experience working with SQL and enterprise data analysis techniques.
Working knowledge of Databricks, Informatica, and Tidal scheduling platforms.
Ability to gather business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience supporting both Commercial and Government Pricing operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Responsibilities

Partner with Contracts & Pricing, Government Pricing, Market Access, Finance, and technical stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational challenges.
Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews; translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and solution recommendations.
Evaluate solution approaches and recommend options based on business value, compliance, scalability, and operational impact.
Support strategic initiatives, system enhancements, acquisitions, integrations, and transformation programs.
Provide Contracts & Pricing domain leadership across commercial contracting, chargebacks, managed care rebates, administrative fees, direct sales, membership management, price management, and customer eligibility.
Maintain knowledge of relevant customer, product, price-list, contract, membership, and transactional data, including their dependencies and downstream processes.
Provide subject matter expertise on pharmaceutical Government Pricing regulations, methodologies, calculations, and reporting requirements.
Assess business and system impacts of regulatory changes and evolving compliance requirements.
Lead analysis, triage, coordination, and resolution of production issues affecting Government Pricing operations.
Perform root cause analysis across business processes, configurations, integrations, data feeds, and reporting solutions.
Manage incident lifecycle activities, including intake, prioritization, impact assessment, root cause identification, resolution planning, stakeholder communication, validation, and closure.
Coordinate regression testing and production deployments, and monitor recurring issues to implement preventive measures.
Serve as a functional and technical lead for Model N Flex and Riparian Helix Government Pricing platforms.
Support application configuration, enhancements, integrations, testing, and release management.
Collaborate with technical teams on process automation and system optimization, including integrations with ERP, data warehouses, customer master systems, and reporting platforms.
Use SQL and data analysis techniques to investigate business and system issues.
Support data governance, data quality, reconciliation, audit activities, operational reporting, performance metrics, and data integrity.
Apply SDLC methodologies and lead requirements management, design reviews, test planning, UAT, defect management, release management, deployment readiness, and SOX audit responses.
Ensure solution delivery documentation, traceability, and governance; promote Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate.
Identify and evaluate AI, machine learning, automation, and data intelligence opportunities to improve operational efficiency, support processes, reporting, knowledge management, and user experience.
Demonstrate leadership in managing and developing high-performing teams.
