About The Position

The Senior Manager - Data Science is pivotal in interfacing with business partners, initiating, and managing analytics projects to generate data-driven insights and support enterprise data science needs within Bread Financial.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or Economics
10-13 years experience in building sophisticated models using machine learning, segmentation, time series, and other advanced analytics methodologies.
3+ years of leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative fields
14+ years developing machine learning models to deliver insights and solve business problems within a bank, credit card, retail, or insurance business.
5+ years of leadership experience.
3+ years experience managing direct reports
1+ year experience in a client facing role
1+ year Agentic AI (AWS or Google) experience

Responsibilities

Serve on the leadership team, provide managerial leadership to the data science team, drive insights into action, manage team goals, mentor staff, and recruit top talent. - (40%)
Lead the data science product discipline, partner with business on ideation, manage the roadmap, lead discovery & solution design, and ensure successful delivery of new capabilities. - (25%)
Guide adherence to compliance, security, and governance processes; lead the monitoring & maintenance of AI solutions. - (20%)
Engage with internal partners and clients to solve business problems with an emphasis on communication to the Senior Leadership Team and above. - (15%)
