This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native). The successful candidate will possess deep familiarity with the design/architecture, build, tradeoffs, and processes involved in deploying and operating security platform engineering tools and shared services used to protect the Workday stack to include but not limited to Tenable, Splunk, Qualys and Twistlock. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of building and leading teams responsible for security platform architecture, build, and operations within highly regulated security compliance boundaries. Lead a dynamic team of security engineers who are passionate and dedicated to building our Platform Security products Recruit top talent to grow the team capacity with the ability to motivate and inspire the team Partner with Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Engineering, System Owners, and Product to deliver secure platform solutions Oversees the security tooling operations to include vulnerability scanners, SIEM/SOAR, logging, and observability platforms, and ensure high availability and lifecycle management Ensure alignment with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-218, DISA SRG, and internal audit requirements Balance resources with task assignments Support team members with career growth and personal development Mentor teams on how to deliver committed results, meet schedules, exceed customer expectation, and resolve complex technical problems
