Senior Manager, Corporate Facilities Security

About The Position

Accountable for end-to-end delivery of cost-effective facilities security operations across multiple locations, setting and governing standards for our global footprint, including contract management and oversight. In this role, you will lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. You will set and govern global facilities standards and operating rhythms, and lead multi-site facilities security operations to deliver consistent service levels and customer experience across locations while aligning to local requirements. You will serve as the senior point of contact for security site leaders and internal partners, communicating priorities, risks, and progress related to facilities, providing reporting and insights to drive decisions and continuous improvement. You will govern preventive and reactive maintenance outcomes and the lifecycle of facilities equipment (inventory, service contracts, and replacement planning) to balance reliability, cost, and global standardization. You will own vendor, contract, and guard-services governance across locations, including onboarding, SLAs/KPIs, QBRs, escalations, and ensuring scopes, change orders, staffing plans, and deliverables align to business needs. You will manage portfolio budgets and forecasts and approve vendor invoices (including guards and equipment) by validating service delivery, rate and pricing accuracy, and contract alignment, and drive variance management and cost optimization. You will identify and prioritize capital needs, support business cases, and oversee facilities projects to deliver on scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. You will manage the Employee Preparedness Program to support employees with workplace safety training, education campaigns, and resources. You will understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. You will build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates your team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, college diploma and/or equivalent related experience
  • High degree of fluency in English required; French/Spanish desirable.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience within a corporate or government security department or organization with similar complexity to Scotiabank’s operations.
  • Experience in supporting and/or leading high-performance teams.
  • Experience in operational planning and execution.
  • Experience in developing highly complex and adaptive security strategies.
  • Experience in the research, development and implementation of best-in-class security training and awareness programs.
  • Financial industry physical security experience.
  • Familiarity with physical security measures, current innovations/technologies, and applications
  • Familiarity and working experience in the application of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) considered assets.
  • Financial industry physical security experience. It is considered an asset
