About The Position

HEPCO is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Contracts for a direct hire opportunity with our client. This role leads a team of contracts professionals supporting an Acoustic Systems portfolio and manages complex contract initiatives of strategic importance. The Senior Manager will lead, train, and mentor contracts professionals, oversee RFP reviews, risk assessments, proposals, contract negotiations, administration, and change management. They will develop negotiation and contract strategies that address business objectives and mitigate risk, resolve complex contractual issues during proposal development and contract execution, and serve as the primary contracts contact for internal teams and external customers. Travel is required as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and at least 9 years of related experience; a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience; or at least 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 6 years of experience with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS, and a range of government and commercial contract types.
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience negotiating terms with commercial and U.S. government customers, including FAR Part 15 programs.
  • Strong communication, judgment, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience mentoring contracts staff and interpreting solicitations, statements of work, and regulations.
  • NCMA CFCM, CPCM, or CCCM certification.
