About The Position

This role is responsible for leading the team that creates content for Cisco's enterprise networking campaigns. The Senior Manager, Content Strategy will own the strategy and execution of demand-generating content across the entire funnel, from thought leadership reports to conversion and promotional assets. This position involves partnering with various teams, including product marketing, sales, campaign strategists, demand channel experts, and regional marketers, to create content that addresses customer needs, stands out in the market, and drives measurable engagement. A key aspect of this role is to treat AI as a creative collaborator, experimenting with new formats and leveraging AI to enhance content creation processes and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years in content strategy/content marketing.
  • A track record of building full-funnel content strategies that drive demand.
  • Strong hands-on writing and editing skills across various formats, from long-form reports to promotional copy.
  • Experience managing workflows and employees, contractors, and agencies in tools such as Asana and Workfront.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of 4-6 writers and editors, and manage agency partners, focusing on developing their skills and AI fluency.
  • Architect demand generation content strategies by synthesizing customer feedback, sales insights, search trends, generative AI trends, and product messaging.
  • Pioneer the use of AI in content creation at scale, codifying successful practices for team-wide adoption and serving as a leader for responsible AI use.
  • Own content quality across all asset types, encouraging experimentation with different formats.
  • Write and edit anchor assets, including long-form reports, web pages, and video scripts.
  • Edit promotional content such as email, social media copy, and paid media copy for messaging, brand voice, and engagement.
  • Prioritize content that serves the audience while balancing business objectives and aligning with technical and senior stakeholders.
  • Present strategies and performance results to senior leadership, clearly articulating what is working, what is not, and future plans.
  • Analyze performance metrics and use engagement data to refine strategy and drive pipeline, managing workflows in tools like Asana and Workfront.
