About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven leader to partner closely with our team to help execute our enterprise-wide communications strategy. As the Senior Manager of Communications, you will play a critical role in shaping how the world sees Rayonier. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will help set the communication agenda, amplify our narrative as a leading land resources REIT, and build an inspired connection across our entire organizational footprint. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive communications experience, preferably within natural resources, forestry, or related industrial sectors.
  • Proven ability to identify storytelling opportunities and manage multiple complex communication projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Mastery of writing, editing, proofreading, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Hands-on experience planning and overseeing photo/video shoots, managing website and newsletter designs, and creating content across digital platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Solid experience in media relations, community engagement, and supporting crisis/issues management.
  • Demonstrated success designing internal communications that connect office-based, remote, and field-based teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Director of Communications to execute enterprise-wide communication and brand strategies aligned with corporate, sustainability, and investor priorities.
  • Support leadership communications, town halls, and internal channels to align and inspire a distributed, multi-location workforce.
  • Maintain brand standards and oversee digital content across corporate website, intranet, and social media platforms.
  • Draft press releases, handle media inquiries, build industry stakeholder relationships, and monitor public sentiment to mitigate emerging issues.
  • Collaborate with business units (Forestry, Real Estate, Legal, Finance) and Investor Relations to ensure unified messaging for company initiatives and events.
  • Write, edit, and publish engaging content highlighting Rayonier’s land stewardship, climate solutions, and business achievements across digital, social, and print channels.
  • Plan and lead on-site video shoots, photo shoots, and podcast production.
