Requirements

  • 7+ years in collections strategy, risk decisioning, or analytics within financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with decision engines (FICO TRIAD, FICO DM, CGI Strata, or similar).
  • Strong end-to-end collections expertise, including recoveries.
  • Solid analytics background with hands-on SQL, SAS, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record designing, testing, and deploying strategies at scale.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; able to simplify complex concepts.
  • Good understanding of risk management, portfolio economics, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of collections and recoveries strategies across the lifecycle using advanced analytics (e.g., SAS, KnowledgeENTERPRISE) and decision engines (FICO TRIAD, FICO Decision Management, CGI Strata).
  • Drive data-led decisions to improve recoveries, reduce losses, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end collections strategies (early-stage through recoveries) using decision engines, predictive models, and business rules.
  • Own the full strategy lifecycle: design, simulation, testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Translate business objectives (risk, profitability, customer outcomes) into effective decision strategies.
  • Lead change management for strategy updates, including impact analysis, testing, and governance.
  • Leverage internal and external data (core banking, collections systems, bureaus, agencies, legal vendors) to enhance decisioning.
  • Partner with Risk, Operations, Technology, and external vendors to deliver and optimize strategies.
  • Deliver clear, executive-level insights and recommendations grounded in data.
  • Ensure strategies align with regulatory requirements and risk governance standards.
