About The Position

This role owns the strategy and execution of analytics that optimize distributor channel performance for Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery. This role translates complex data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. Working across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT, this leader builds scalable reporting and analytics solutions, advances data governance, and provides clear recommendations to support business performance and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, analytics, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, commercial operations, business insights, channel strategy, or distributor management
  • People leadership and development
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from requirements through implementation
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex findings clearly at all levels of the organization
  • Solid understanding of distributor, channel, and commercial business models
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or Qlik Sense
  • Proven success driving adoption of new tools, processes, and reporting capabilities

  • Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred
  • Experience in MedTech, Healthcare, Distribution, or another regulated industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analytics vision and roadmap for the distributor channel in support of growth, margin, and share objectives
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on channel performance, trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Provide leadership with clear, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Lead integration, governance, and transparency of distributor data across key business metrics
  • Develop scalable data models and reporting solutions that improve end-to-end channel visibility
  • Partner with IT and data teams to modernize analytics capabilities and support timely insights
  • Use advanced analytics to identify channel risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
  • Capture and communicate insights that support segmentation, pricing, forecasting, and portfolio optimization
  • Translate data into clear business narratives, dashboards, and self-service reporting tools
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance insight generation and decision support
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators and standardized reporting to monitor distributor performance
  • Lead business reviews with internal stakeholders and distributor partners
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and timely
  • Partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Channel Management, and IT to align priorities and actions and act as liaison between business teams and technical partners
  • Support strategic initiatives including pricing, contract strategy, portfolio optimization, and distributor integration
  • Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team
  • Build team capability in modern analytics, reporting, and insight generation
  • Foster accountability, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable compliance requirements
