About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. This role is currently based at our Minneapolis office and will transition to our new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027. The Senior Manager, Business Finance – Supply Chain provides financial planning, analysis and reporting support for key client groups within the Operations & Supply Chain function. This position partners with key leaders and functional groups to connect financial insight to operational performance, delivering the analysis and reporting that support decisions on productivity, inventory, and cost. The individual in this position prepares forecasts, models and analysis for assigned client groups, translating financial and operational results into clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, including support for operations, supply chain, or manufacturing.
  • Sound business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling capability, with attention to detail and a high-level analytical perspective.
  • Ability to influence partners and support decisions in a cross-functional, matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business actions for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, with experience developing high-performing teams

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the financial forecasting and planning processes with supply chain and operations functional partners, resulting in quarterly forecast updates, annual plans, and long-range plans
  • Build and maintain financial models and analyses that support operational investments, productivity initiatives and operational trade-offs
  • Prepare scenarios and analysis that help functional partners and business units evaluate priorities and allocate resources
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the numbers and surface them to functional partners and finance leadership
  • Support the financial narrative for assigned client groups, connecting performance drivers to outcomes and highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate across the business to provide root-cause analysis and actionable insights—based on both financial and non-financial data
  • Communicate analysis and insights by leveraging multiple data sources, identifying complete, consistent, and actionable recommendations, and translating them into clear, understandable themes
  • Partner with manufacturing and distribution teams to analyze direct labor cost, overtime, and productivity, identifying the drivers behind performance and opportunities to improve efficiency and cost.
  • Maintain and improve metrics and reporting that connect operational activity to financial results
  • Track performance against plan and recommend actions to close gaps, in partnership with functional partners
  • Quantify the financial impact of inventory and supply-demand decisions, including excess and obsolete exposure and reserve requirements.
  • Prepare working capital forecasts and track inventory and related cash flow performance against targets, explaining drivers behind the variances.
  • Build business cases and ROI analysis for capital investment and productivity projects, and support post-implementation reviews to confirm results are realized.
  • Translate inventory and working capital trends into actionable insights and recommendations for functional partners and finance leadership.
  • Partner day-to-day with functional partners and leaders within Operations & Supply Chain to deliver insights that support decision-making
  • Work with corporate cost accounting and site-level finance teams to connect financial results and operational drivers
  • Provide finance support for cross-functional initiatives that improve cost, service, and efficiency
  • Mentor and develop finance team members or analysts, supporting their growth and day-to-day performance
  • Ensure compliance with company management and accounting policies, and provide input into process improvements
  • Lead, mentor, manage, and staff a team of factory-based finance employees and inventory specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of leadership excellence
