About The Position

Collegium Pharmaceutical is building a leading, diversified biopharmaceutical company committed to improving the lives of people living with serious medical conditions. We have a leading portfolio of responsible pain management and neuropsychiatry medications. This role delivers on key Business Development strategies and initiatives. Leads the operational activities of the department and ensures that performed tasks comply with corporate development and Collegium policies, best industry standards and applicable regulations. They will lead Corporate Development activities including managing deal processes, deal modeling, and potential deal assessments. They will also collaborate cross-functionally with other Collegium functional leads and teams, external partners including investment bankers and management consultants to achieve Business Development and organization goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Science or a technical field)
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Business Development and/or Commercial Operations within the biopharmaceutical industry or relevant consulting or investment banking experience.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business transactions including acquisition evaluation, modeling, and financial analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supporting and managing due diligence activities
  • Demonstrated commitment to seeking and supporting diverse perspectives and backgrounds in the workplace
  • Ability to understand organization goals and proactively identify inorganic opportunities to meet them
  • Experience and demonstrated aptitude managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills, including NPV and DCF
  • Able to interact with senior executives and handle high pressure settings with confidence
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with capacity for learning quickly in a very intensive and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, analyze and value potential acquisitions, joint ventures, in-licensing and other strategic growth opportunities
  • Deliver on Business Development strategy objectives – including the development and tracking of acquisition opportunities, and all phases of transaction execution
  • Analyze industry dynamics and the competitive landscape for current therapeutic areas and those of strategic interest
  • Create, review, and present financial models including valuation and pro forma M&A analyses
  • Perform due diligence process across functional areas
  • Manage deal tracker and pipeline processes
  • Support the transaction negotiation and closing processes
  • Assist in the execution of corporate divestitures
  • Work closely and collaboratively across the organization
