About The Position

The Senior Manager, Automation Engineering, leads the design, integration, and continuous improvement of automation systems within supply chain operations. This role leverages advanced data analysis and project management to drive operational excellence and process enhancements. The position requires effective communication across teams and stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and ensure successful implementation of automation initiatives. The incumbent develops business cases, manages risks, and fosters collaboration to optimize technology adoption, supporting Walmart’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in a dynamic environment. The Automation Engineering Platform team drives the advancement of supply chain automation through centralized support. This team provides tactical assistance, deployable resources, and strategic planning for automation initiatives that span multiple teams or fall outside specific group scopes. By fostering collaboration and leveraging expertise in automation, data analysis, and project management, the team ensures seamless integration and continuous improvement of automation networks. Their efforts enable operational excellence and process optimization, supporting Walmart’s commitment to efficient, scalable supply chain solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Strong program management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end program delivery, including dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment
  • Background in supply chain automation, engineering, or large-scale operational environments
  • Experience developing and evaluating business cases, capital investments, and ROI
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and influence strategic decisions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with automation technologies, systems integration, or engineering concepts
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
  • 6 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
