Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, decision science, business intelligence, or a related discipline, including experience supporting a marketplace, ecommerce, subscription, affiliate marketing, or similar business.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace or ecommerce economics, including conversion, revenue, margin, take rate, and promotional efficiency.
  • Experience analyzing subscription funnels, retention cohorts, churn, and customer lifetime value.
  • Practical expertise in experimentation, incrementality measurement, attribution, and causal analysis.
  • Strong judgment and intellectual curiosity

  • Experience with affiliate networks or performance marketing based models
  • Experience with card-funded or card-linked offers, including merchant funding, attribution, redemption, and unit economics.
  • Experience developing or operationalizing customer segmentation, affinity, or propensity models.
  • Experience in health, wellness, financial services, or another regulated consumer industry.

  • Evaluate the performance of our inventory across merchants, products, categories, offer types, and member segments.
  • Monitor key marketplace economics, including transaction volume, revenue, take rate, margin, merchant performance, and offer quality.
  • Identify underperforming inventory, emerging member needs, assortment gaps, and opportunities to improve product and category mix.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and executive-level insights that explain not only what happened, but why it happened and what the business should do next.
  • Establish consistent metric definitions and reconcile internal data with affiliate network, merchant, and vendor reporting.
  • Identify and close measurement gaps, such as bridging HealthEquity platform metrics with affiliate or brand metrics to evaluate funnel performance or attribution.
  • Build subscription and retention intelligence
  • Own analytics for subscription and recurring-revenue products as a distinct business model within the Marketplace portfolio.
  • Develop acquisition, activation, retention, churn, renewal, and lifetime-value reporting by product, cohort, channel, offer, and member segment.
  • Diagnose the drivers of subscription churn and retention, distinguishing acquisition-quality issues from product, pricing, engagement, and lifecycle factors.
  • Partner with Product, Growth, and merchant teams to identify retention opportunities and prioritize interventions.
  • Design measurement approaches for onboarding improvements, lifecycle communications, pricing changes, save offers, and other retention initiatives.
  • Optimize offers, pricing, and promotions
  • Build a fact base for competitive offers, including offer structure, discount depth, funding model, cadence, eligibility, and market positioning.
  • Advise Growth, Marketing, Product, and merchant teams on offer and promotion design before launch.
  • Measure the incremental impact of offers and promotions, separating true lift from demand that would have occurred without the incentive.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs among conversion, member value, merchant funding, Marketplace economics, and long-term customer behavior.
  • Establish testing and measurement standards for promotions, including experiments, holdouts, matched comparisons, and other causal-inference methods where appropriate.
  • Translate findings into practical recommendations about which offers to scale, modify, or discontinue.
  • Advance segmentation and targeting
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering to define member segments and develop propensity and affinity scores by category, product, and offer type.
  • Translate commercial questions into clear data and model requirements, success criteria, and activation plans.
  • Help Product and Marketing apply segmentation across onsite and offsite experiences to improve relevance and conversion.
  • Monitor model and targeting performance to ensure recommendations produce measurable business value.
