Senior Manager, AI Safety and Security Engineering
About The Position
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manager to build and lead its AI Safety & Security Engineering team. This team focuses on developing and evaluating AI-powered tools to identify, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities. The role involves hiring engineers across various disciplines, including harness and platform engineering, security research, and evaluation, and ensuring these groups work cohesively at a sustainable pace. The manager will be responsible for the delivery of the Find, Validate, and Patch roadmap, making trade-offs transparent, and communicating progress clearly. The team values careful engineering and trust earned through internal review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 12+ years in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience guiding teams that build complex systems (distributed infrastructure, ML platforms, or security tooling).
- Ability to weigh architecture and evaluation trade-offs in ML or systems software.
- Steadiness in a young program where much is still to be defined.
