Senior Manager, AI Safety and Security Engineering
About The Position
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manager to build and lead its AI Safety & Security Engineering team. This team will focus on developing and evaluating AI-powered tools to identify, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities. The role involves hiring engineers across harness and platform engineering, security research, and evaluation, ensuring these disciplines collaborate effectively. The manager will be responsible for the delivery of the Find, Validate, and Patch roadmap, making trade-offs transparent, and communicating progress clearly. The emphasis is on careful engineering and building trust through internal review rather than hype.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 12+ years in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience guiding teams that build complex systems (distributed infrastructure, ML platforms, or security tooling).
- Ability to weigh architecture and evaluation trade-offs in ML or systems software.
- Steadiness in a young program where much is still to be defined.
