About The Position

Procore Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager, AI & Platform Engineering to lead a newly formed team responsible for the enterprise AI platform (Claude) and the business/IT side of the Atlassian suite, including Jira, JSM, and Confluence. The role is part of the Digital Employee Experience team within IT Infrastructure & Operations and works with the Enterprise AI Office, Security, GRC, Legal, Identity, and Enterprise Platform Operations to establish a high-performing team and operating model. The position is based in Procore’s Austin, Texas office and reports to the Senior Director, Digital Employee Experience, IT Infrastructure & Operations. The Senior Manager will lead platform operations and people management, guide the Claude enterprise platform roadmap and company-wide rollout, oversee MCP planning and development, enable employees and builders to create AI workflows safely, and represent Enterprise IT in AI governance. The role also oversees business/IT administration of the Collaboration suite and manages vendor and contractor capacity. The position may be eligible for equity compensation and/or bonus incentive compensation. The stated annual base pay range is $198,240 to $272,580; actual compensation depends on job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.

Requirements

Demonstrated leadership experience in platform, infrastructure, or SRE environments, including direct people management.
Experience establishing a new team or function rather than only managing an established one.
Familiarity with enterprise SaaS administration, ideally Claude, a similar AI platform, or a comparable large-scale rollout.
Working knowledge of identity and access concepts such as SSO and Okta.
Experience managing vendors and contractors, including scoping and closing out statements of work.
Comfort operating with ambiguity and ability to build structure as a team, rollout, and operating model take shape.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to Atlassian suite administration.
Familiarity with MCP or agent-tooling architecture.
Experience partnering with a separate governance or strategy function.
Potentially relevant background includes Engineering Manager or Senior Manager, Platform Operations; Infrastructure & SRE Manager (Enterprise SaaS / Cloud Services); IT Systems & Collaboration Engineering Lead; or Enterprise AI Platform / Integration Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day work across the Senior Platform/SRE Engineer, AI Platform Administrator, and SaaS (Atlassian, Slack) Suite Admin functions.
Own the Claude enterprise platform roadmap, evaluate new Anthropic capabilities, sequence releases, and drive adoption through change management and communications.
Oversee the MCP roadmap and build, including connector design, prioritization, security review, and transition of contractor-built work to the permanent team.
Enable and build AI capabilities for employees and builders, including skills, plugins, connectors, and infrastructure for safely creating AI workflows.
Own the team’s contribution to the company-wide Claude rollout timeline, including platform-side go-live readiness for provisioning, connectors, and support.
Hire, develop, and manage team performance, and scope and manage contractor statements of work for burst capacity.
Represent Enterprise IT in the joint AI governance forum with the Enterprise AI Office, Security, GRC, and Legal.
Oversee business/IT administration of the Atlassian and Slack Collaboration suite in partnership with business stakeholders.
