About The Position
The Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics, in Store Delivery Design helps determine how Walmart services its stores with Grocery and General Merchandise. Connecting Merchandising, Distribution Center Operations, Transportation, and Store Operations, the role supports day-to-day operational needs while designing and implementing strategic programs for future success, including assessing how supply chain automation will transform the delivery network. The Omni Flow Planning - Store Delivery Design team develops and executes delivery schedules for different store formats, distribution center types, and commodity combinations. It resolves delivery configuration challenges while balancing service quality, financial considerations, and compliance. The team works with stakeholders to optimize delivery operations, improve decision-making, and support stores and facilities through advanced analytics and strategic project management. The role partners with senior leaders to identify business challenges and develop analytics-driven solutions. It leads a team and oversees complex analytics initiatives from model development and prototyping through validation and implementation. The position also manages project risks, resources, and performance measures, evaluates analytics effectiveness, and promotes learning, innovation, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing analytics teams.
- Expertise in advanced analytics, data modeling, and algorithm development to drive business results.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead complex, end-to-end initiatives.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Effective communication skills to influence and inspire commitment and alignment.
- Experience in risk management and issue resolution within analytics projects.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or a related field; or 6 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis.
- Experience with statistical programming languages such as SAS or R.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Statistics.
Responsibilities
