The Senior Manager, Accreditation, Validation, and Credentialing is a senior level position within the ACS Division of Education that serves as the organization’s subject matter authority on Continuing Medical Education (CME), Continuing Education (CE) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accreditation. The position oversees the ACS wide CME and CE Compliance program, establishing consistent accreditation practices and providing consultation and direction to all ACS divisions that develop or offer CME and CE programs. In this capacity, the Senior Manager ensures alignment with evolving national accreditation standards, by communicating requirements and implementing best practices with staff across the College. The Senior Manager is responsible for processing, reviewing, and auditing CME and CE applications for ACS, as well as Joint Providers to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accreditation requirements, and for identifying and mitigating compliance risk across a high-volume portfolio. Acting as an internal and external consultant, the role advises Division of Education leadership, colleagues across ACS, and Joint Provider partners on complex or high-risk accreditation activities requiring specialized oversight. The senior manager is also responsible for CME and CE related data, including the collection, monitoring, organizing, cleaning, storing, and generating reports to meet accreditation standards and assist with strategic planning. This role also contributes thought leadership through active participation in national CME, CE and CPD discussions, reinforcing ACS’s leadership in accredited education. In addition, this position supports revenue growth and long-term sustainability of the Division’s accredited education portfolio through strategic planning, operational efficiency, and expansion of high-quality accredited offerings.
