About The Position

As the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will be a strategic and hands-on accounting leader responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of corporate accounting functions. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Accounting, this role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly close processes while driving operational efficiencies through automation, process improvements, and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate possesses a high level of attention to detail, technical accounting expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration, particularly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Active CPA certification required.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience in complex, high-growth or matrixed environments, including a minimum of 5 years in corporate accounting with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, SOX compliance, and experience operating within a public company control environment.
  • Prior experience in a large, publicly traded company strongly preferred; experience in data centers, telecom, SaaS, real estate, or other recurring-revenue industries highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams through both hands-on execution and strategic oversight, including the ability to flex between high-level review and detailed problem-solving as needed.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex accounting matters and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced experience with accounting systems, ERPs, and close tools (e.g., Blackline, Yardi, Oracle, SAP, or similar), with strong Excel and data analytics capabilities and comfort working with large data sets and complex contracts.
  • Experience leading or playing a key role in accounting system implementations, process transformations, or automation initiatives strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment under pressure, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the corporate accounting team.
  • Ensure integrity of financial statements through timely analytical review, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for high-risk, complex corporate accounting matters, including the review and approval of judgmental journal entries, estimates, and complex reconciliations.
  • Lead executive-level financial analysis and insights related to company performance, and operational drivers, including the development and presentation of KPIs to accounting and finance leadership.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate accounting-related financial and compliance risks, ensuring timely escalation, clear recommendations, and partnership with leadership on resolution strategies.
  • Oversee and lead internal and external audit engagements for areas of responsibility, including audit strategy, issue resolution, and communication with auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation, system enhancements, and reporting modernization, in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to improve scalability, accuracy, and insight.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance across subledgers and ERP platforms; partner with IT and systems teams to resolve root-cause issues and strengthen system controls.
  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative, accountability-driven culture and providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor and cross-functional leader, partnering with the CAO organization and functions as a steward of accounting excellence, process optimization, and global standardization.
