The Senior Manager, Account Management acts as the Account Director for various programs, providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to the Account Management team. This role involves collaborating with internal operations and clinical teams to develop and execute best practices, promote client solutions and satisfaction, and implement ongoing training for account managers. The Senior Manager serves as a subject matter expert, overseeing all pharmacy program implementations, client relationship management, Quarterly Business Reviews, and client strategies. Key responsibilities include developing the skills and capabilities of Account Managers in areas such as analytical problem-solving, client relationship management, program implementation excellence, trend management, formulary, and rebate management. The position also involves developing tools and processes to enhance clinical program management and relationship management capabilities, including reporting, specialty trend management, rebate management, and quarterly business reviews. The Senior Manager will oversee escalated client issues, provide solutions, review and provide feedback on Request for Proposal responses related to programs, trend management, account management, and long-term strategy management, and analyze data to support and lead client presentations. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned and complying with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care administration or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of PBM Account Management or clinical management including managing teams of clinicians, preferably pharmacists.
  • Previous management experience which includes responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed pharmacist or have a background with specialty pharmacy working with pharmacy manufactures.
  • PharmD or MBA is preferred.
  • PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, Health Plan, Managed Care, and Managed Medicaid experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical analytics, formulary rebate, and formulary maintenance preferred.
  • Current state’s Pharmacist license with no restrictions preferred.

Responsibilities
