About The Position

Arkansas Talent Group is helping our client, a mission-driven, faith-based nonprofit organization in Little Rock find an ambitious and relationship-focused Senior Major Gifts Officer to lead major donor development and help drive the organization's fundraising efforts during an exciting period of growth. This individual will play a key role in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors while helping the organization prepare for and execute an upcoming capital campaign. We are looking for a proven relationship builder and revenue generator who is energized by ambitious goals, comfortable making meaningful asks, and capable of taking ownership of donor relationships from initial connection through long-term engagement. Previous nonprofit or fundraising experience is highly valued but not required. We are equally interested in accomplished professionals from sales, business development, financial services, relationship management, or other revenue-generating roles who have demonstrated the ability to personally generate $500,000+ annually in revenue or charitable contributions. Just as importantly, this person must genuinely embrace the organization's faith-based mission and its core values of with, worship, and scrappy.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of personally generating or managing $500,000+ annually in fundraising, sales, business development, or other revenue-generating activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with high-level donors, clients, executives, business owners, community leaders, or other key stakeholders.
  • Confidence initiating relationships and developing new prospects rather than relying solely on an existing donor base.
  • Strong ability to cultivate relationships over time and recognize when and how to make an appropriate financial ask.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a pipeline, priorities, and follow-up.
  • Goal-oriented and comfortable being accountable for measurable fundraising and revenue targets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined follow-through.
  • Ability to communicate the organization's mission in a compelling and authentic way.
  • Comfortable networking and representing the organization within the community.
  • Must genuinely embrace and model the organization's faith-based mission and core values of with, worship, and scrappy.

  • Experience working with boards, executive leadership, or volunteer fundraising committees.
  • Experience with donor management or CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and existing donors.
  • Build authentic, long-term relationships with individuals, families, businesses, foundations, and other potential supporters.

  • Identify opportunities to increase giving among existing supporters.
  • Develop new donor relationships and expand the organization's network of major gift prospects.
  • Partner with organizational leadership, board members, and other stakeholders to leverage relationships and identify new fundraising opportunities.
  • Play an integral role in the planning and execution of the organization's upcoming capital campaign.
  • Help develop strategies for identifying and securing lead and major gifts for the campaign.
  • Assist with campaign messaging, donor strategy, prospect development, and solicitation planning.
  • Track donor activity, opportunities, commitments, and follow-up consistently within the organization's CRM or donor management system.
