Position Summary The Major Gifts Officer will design, develop and implement GSOC's major gift program to grow $25,000+ gifts. The MGO is responsible for building, implementing, and maximizing key fund development strategies and activities as it relates to individuals and family foundations. The scope includes identifying, researching, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding GSOC members, alum, staff, volunteers, as well as new and prospective individual and family foundation investors. An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate GSOC's mission and vision is key, while helping donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with GSOC. The MGO manages assigned fundraising initiatives to ensure the achievement of annual goals and objectives, including Promise Circle membership of $25,000+, capital, program, and annual campaign gifts of $25,000+, and the Juliette Gordon Low Society for planned gifts. MGO collaborates with the Fund Development team to implement industry best practices and improve processes. There is a high level of collaboration with the Fund Development Team, Board of Directors, Program Staff, and MARCOM.
