About The Position

This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, a mission-driven family and group conference and retreat center serving more than 225,000 guests annually. The Senior Major Gift Officer plays a key leadership role in advancing the YMCA’s Christian mission and achieving both short- and long-term strategic goals through the development and execution of a comprehensive financial development program. The SMGO is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors, with a focus on attracting new prospects, retaining current supporters, and upgrading giving levels. This role drives growth by creating long-term relationships between donors and the YMCA of The Rockies by building a robust major gift pipeline. Working closely with senior leadership and programmatic staff, the SMGO translates campaign priorities into compelling funding opportunities. Additionally, this position supports planned giving. We firmly believe in our mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs, staff, and facilities in an environment that builds a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. YMCA of the Rockies staff are key players in helping cultivate an environment of healthy living, youth development, and community impact on our breathtaking properties outside Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a place where nature inspires, and staff lead with heart. We are committed to being welcoming to all people and to making a difference in the lives of our members, guests, and staff.
