The Senior Major Gift Officer is a proactive fundraiser and relationship builder, managing a portfolio of prospects with the capacity to support the USGA’s mission with gifts of $50,000 or more. Prospect management includes identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, closing and stewarding prospects and donors, and aligning donor interests with the strategic priorities of the USGA. The Senior Major Gift Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and achieving an annual work plan with visit and solicitation goals in partnership with the Chief Philanthropy Officer. The ideal candidate will bring a natural ability to connect with donors, and a collaborative approach. The Senior Major Gift Officer will think strategically to contribute meaningfully to fundraising goals, effectively communicating the USGA’s strategic priorities to inspire support and build new relationships. The Senior Major Gift Officer will be assigned a territory of responsibility, and will travel extensively to develop and strengthen prospect relationships. This Senior Major Gift Officer will be assigned either the New York City Metropolitan area, or Los Angeles Metropolitan area, and can work remotely.
