About The Position

Our Enterprise Security team focuses on delivering next-generation Zero Trust solutions including Micro-Segmentation and modern Secure Enterprise Browser technologies that are rapidly replacing legacy VDI and VPN architectures. These capabilities help protect our customers against modern ransomware threats and enable secure, high-performance workforces across cloud and data center environments. Our mission is to secure, protect, and accelerate all enterprise communication as a cloud-delivered security service. The Security business is a highly skilled team with deep knowledge across enterprise networking, security, access, and digital business transformation. You will collaborate with the broader Akamai sales organization and channel ecosystem to drive net-new growth in a category-defining space.

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years of relevant enterprise SaaS or security experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Possess direct experience selling into senior executives with strong C-level access
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of closing net-new enterprise deals ($250K-$1M+ ACV)
  • Bring experience in Micro-Segmentation, Firewalls, Data Center Technology, SASE/Zero Trust, or Secure Enterprise Browser solutions
  • Be methodology-driven (MEDDIC, Challenger, Sandler) to ensure forecast accuracy
  • Thrive in high-pressure, high-reward startup environments where you build your own pipeline
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to present to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, developing and qualifying leads within driving sales opportunities through cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation and social selling techniques.
  • Traveling may be up to 50% of the time to expos, events and customer visits.
  • Leading the Enterprise Security agenda internally and externally
  • Building and executing a territory plan targeting CISOs, CIOs, and VP-level security leaders
  • Running a 100% hunter motion focused on landing new enterprise logos
  • Bringing enterprise domain expertise (infrastructure, applications, networking, security) to C-suite conversations
