Requirements

• Three (3) years of directly related maintenance experience.
• A High School diploma or GED.
• Possession of a valid Class “A” California driver’s license within one (1) year of appointment.
• When Assigned to Water: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Grade 3 Water Distribution Operator Certificate, per the State of California, Department of Health Services, within one (1) year of appointment.
• When Assigned to Water: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Grade 1 Water Treatment Operator Certificate, per the State of California, Department of Health Services, within one (1) year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assigning and overseeing crews involved in the maintenance of streets, rights-of-way, traffic control, grounds and facilities, water or wastewater divisions.
• Providing a regular preventive maintenance program for assigned areas.
