About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure college facilities and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a high level of expertise, leadership, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This Senior Maintenance Worker will also assist in training and guiding the maintenance staff. The Target Range for the position is $23.60 - $25.96 per hour The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Four years experience in trade.
Applicable license or ability to obtain one in the first year of employment.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurability under TSTC Liability Policy.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate TSTC's core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity in all interactions with stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.
Conduct inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
Lead maintenance projects and coordinate tasks among maintenance staff.
Enter occupied and unoccupied buildings with appropriate accompaniment.
Check out tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Operate state vehicles and equipment safely.
Coordinate with other departments to address facility needs while providing regular updates to their supervisor.
Perform physically demanding tasks requiring strength and frequent moderate lifting (30-60 lbs), often in awkward positions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
