About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Technician role is an hourly position reporting to the Maintenance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance. This position requires an individual with in-depth knowledge of general maintenance and requires performing duties with minimal supervision. Dependability and attention to detail are required characteristics. The maintenance work environment involves the handling of hazardous chemicals. The ability to use a personal respirator is required. The physical demands of this position may involve standing for extended periods as well as frequent lifting of items weighing between 40-55 lbs.

Requirements

  • Technical degree preferred, minimum of High School graduate or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance including knowledge in troubleshooting equipment and control systems, electrical, plumbing, steam, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, pumps, instrumentation, some welding, and HVAC controls.
  • Able to read, write, and understand company written procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, technical bulletins, hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical schematics.
  • Industrial Controls troubleshooting, i.e. VFD, PLC and relay logic a must.
  • Ability to use a personal respirator is required.
  • Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
  • Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrician License not required but would be considered.
  • Certifications (or the ability to certify) in one or more of the following are required: HVAC (Universal).
  • Boiler Class B or able to obtain (within 120 days).

Responsibilities

  • Achieve daily and job specific goals.
  • Provide maintenance support to all departments.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to production and facilities buildings and equipment.
  • Install new, or relocate existing, equipment with all required utilities, including water, compressed air, electrical (three phase), steam, hydraulic, and vacuum.
  • Practice safe and efficient work habits.
  • Direct maintenance mechanics and operators as required.
  • Utilize Bimeda’s CMMS platform, including the use of tablets and other electronic devices.
  • Adjust priorities to ensure critical operations experience minimal downtime.
  • Recognize and correct, repair, or report facility or equipment problems independently.
