About The Position

HP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support advanced laser development labs in Corvallis. This role is ideal for an experienced, hands-on technician with strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills who can independently diagnose equipment issues, support lab systems, and contribute to reliable operation of critical R&D equipment in an environment that is ultra-focused on safety. Over time, the role includes hands-on training in laser and optical systems, including laser equipment support, optical alignment, and beam delivery systems. This position is designed for a strong all-around maintenance technician who is interested in growing into a specialized laser and optics support role.

Requirements

High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
5 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing, R&D, facilities, or similar environments
Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and lab support systems
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and prototype system bring-up
Support documentation, safety, and process improvement efforts
Hands-on training in laser and optical systems, including laser equipment support, optical alignment, and beam delivery systems
