Our Senior Maintenance Technicians are a vital part of each community's success. Senior Maintenance Technicians are personable, multi-talented, technically skilled individuals with a passion for fixing things and a keen eye for detail. Our repair leaders provide the technical know-how behind each apartment community and provide guidance and training to other maintenance professionals. From HVAC to plumbing to a fresh coat of paint, Senior Maintenance Technicians have a hand in every apartment and every resident's satisfaction. As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will work with one of our property management team to provide exceptional service to residents. You will collaborate with team members to assess and respond to maintenance issues, develop a rapport with residents by being both knowledgeable and friendly, and inspire trust by caring for our community and making our apartments feel like home.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of hands-on general maintenance experience
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies
  • Reliable and consistent form of daily transportation to and from work, including after-hours for emergencies
  • Computer proficiency and frequent everyday use of a Smartphone

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC experience and EPA Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all the community's plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, and painting needs.
  • Build rapport with residents by offering a smile and a greeting and chatting as you make repairs in their homes.
  • Respond to maintenance issues, collaborating with teammates and prioritizing service requests.
  • Monitor apartment vacancies and initiate the turnover process with painting, cleaning, and repairing.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Inspect all areas of the property daily for cleanliness and safety.
  • Mentor, train, and develop teammates.
  • Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Service Manager, including managing service requests, delegating tasks, and supervising and directing the work of teammates.
